Ethnically Ambiguous Casting:

An act that involves casting actors whose ethnicity is not immediately identifiable to appeal to broader audiences and or avoid specifying ethnic roots in a story.

Example: A famous fashion brand ensures that their spokesperson has mixed race features in order to appeal and profit from as many demographics as possible, elevating themselves from the complexities of cultural identity.
